Vikram leads RunLLM’s vision, product strategy, and team growth, drawing from a decade of research in AI, serverless computing, and distributed systems. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from UC Berkeley. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley.
Chenggang leads RunLLM’s engineering efforts. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science at UC Berkeley, where his doctoral research on scalable cloud infrastructure earned the 2022 SIGMOD Jim Gray Doctoral Dissertation Award. Prior to Berkeley, he received his B.S. in Computer Science with honors from Brown University.
Joey is a Professor of Computer Science at UC Berkeley, Director of Sky Computing Lab, and an advisor to LMSYS, an incubator for open-source AI research. He co-founded Chatbot Arena, a widely referenced LLM evaluation platform, and has driven major advancements in AI and distributed systems, contributing to projects like Vicuna LLM, Apache Spark, Ray, and MLflow. As an entrepreneur, he co-founded Turi, a machine learning startup acquired by Apple.
Joe is the Jim Gray Professor of Computer Science at UC Berkeley, a Fellow of the ACM, and a recipient of numerous accolades, including an Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellowship, seven 10-year "Test of Time" awards, recognition on MIT Technology Review’s TR10 and TR100 lists, and Fortune Magazine’s "Smartest in Tech" list. In 2023, he received the ACM-SIGMOD Edgar F. Codd Innovations Award, the highest recognition in database research. As an entrepreneur, he co-founded RunLLM, growing it out of research at Berkeley’s RISELab, and previously co-founded Trifacta, where he served as founding CEO before its acquisition by Alteryx.
